[Kyoto Prefecture] Japan's largest stone pagoda, the "Thirteen-story Stone Pagoda"

Located on "Tonoshima" in the Nakanoshima area upstream of the Uji Bridge, this 15-meter-tall stone pagoda is one of Japan's largest. Its thirteen-story stone structure earned it the nickname "Thirteen-Story Stone Pagoda." It was apparently built in 1286 to commemorate the spirit of a fish when the Uji Bridge was rebuilt. The Nakanoshima area offers ample ventilation, making it a great place for a stroll. Please be careful not to blow away your hat or umbrella.
