[Kumamoto Prefecture: Amakusa] Nagaotsurugi Shrine with a beautiful and fantastical appearance

This shrine has a torii gate in the sea, which is a beautiful and fantastic sight created by the ebb and flow of the tides.
It was named Nagao because a giant stingray carrying the enshrined deity, Wadatsumi no Kami, landed on the land, and the stingray's tail is shaped like a sword, so the shrine was named Nagao Tsurugi Shrine.
The main shrine is on high ground and there are steep stairs.
I've visited before, but the tide was low and I couldn't see the torii gate floating in the sea. I was very impressed to see it for the first time this time.
If you plan to visit, we recommend checking the low tide table in advance to make sure you check the time!!
There is a parking lot, but it's a little hard to find, so please drive carefully.
