In the northeastern part of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau lies a dazzling gem—Chaka Salt Lake, quietly radiating its brilliance. Take advantage of the pre-peak season and set off now.
"Chaka" means "salt lake" in Tibetan. Historically known as Xigong Saline Pool, it is one of the birthplaces of China's salt culture. With its rich history and captivating scenery, it attracts countless visitors every year.
Although today may not feature drifting white clouds over blue skies, the water and salt flats merge seamlessly, creating a scene where water meets the sky and the sky touches the earth. The vast salt flats stretch endlessly, pure and white as snow, sparkling like silver under the sunlight.
Here, salt forms unique landscapes, with various salt sculptures seemingly narrating the story of salt.
