Recommended Visiting Seasons: Plan for the Most Beautiful Times
Wave Hill is stunning year-round, but it's wise to choose your visit timing carefully based on your purpose.
• Spring (April–May): Bulb plants like tulips and daffodils are in full bloom, creating vibrant flower beds. If you want to see lively blossoms, this is the time to visit.
• Summer (June–August): The vines around the Pergola flourish, and the expansive lawns are perfect for picnics. However, be prepared for New York's summer heat.
• Autumn (September–October): Undoubtedly the best season. The trees along the Hudson River turn brilliant shades, blending beautifully with the Palisades cliffs to create a majestic view. The artistic combination of colorful chrysanthemums and ornamental kale planted throughout the garden is particularly striking.
• Winter (November–March): The garden is relatively quiet, but you can enjoy tropical plants in the warm Conservatory. If you seek serene river views and tranquility, winter is also a good choice. Visiting in autumn is highly recommended for experiencing the most breathtaking scenery.
