Located in the center of Unzen Onsen town, the smell of sulfur fills the air, and the steam and hot air erupting from the depths of the earth cover the entire area.
You can enjoy a foot bath, hot spring eggs, and hot spring lemonade.
It is also known as the site of the Christian martyrdom, and a martyrdom monument has been erected.
On the way to Unzen, there is also the Catholic Unzen Church, dedicated to Antonio Ishida and the martyrs of Unzen.
