Maras Salt Mines... Peru...

A salt mine on a mountain, it was truly amazing. The white pools and sparkling salt crystals looked like a natural work of art. It was the perfect place for taking photos, I couldn't stop clicking my camera...
Being able to walk directly into the salt flats was a huge advantage, it felt like experiencing the life of the salt flats firsthand. At the top, water flows, and when I tasted it, it was really salty...
It's best to avoid leather or precious shoes as the salt can stick to them. The view of the salt flats from the middle of the mountain and the distant landscape is a scene I'll remember for a lifetime.
