Grand Canyon of Tianshan Mountain is highly recommended and highly rated to visit while in Urumqi. Some people actually think this is even better than the Heavenly lake.
The Grand Canyon of Tianshan is like an hour away from the city center and it could be longer depending on the traffic.
The scenic spots inside the canyon are picturesque and gives you the sense of calmness.

What to visit: Lake Tahoe and Swan lake

Where to book: just book it on trip app. They have offers to go to this place including a return bus , entrance tickets and a shuttle bus inside the canyon.

Tip: If you are visiting around september - November, the temperature in the canyon is really cold. It was -3 when we were there and the city center was only around 10. So wrap up and keep warm.
