The must-visit cathedral in Armenia

Etchmiadzin is the religious and cultural center of Armenia.
The Etchmiadzin Cathedral, established in 303 AD, still stands within its territory.
As the oldest cathedral in the world, it is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The city served as the capital of the Kingdom of Armenia from 117 to 340 AD.
It currently preserves a complex of buildings including six ancient churches.
Among them, the Zvartnots archaeological site showcases the evolution of Armenian domed tetraconch churches.
The cathedral's treasury houses Christian relics such as a piece of Noah's Ark and the Holy Lance.
It attracts over 750,000 visitors annually.
