Perfect Vacation at Vakkaru

Our third visit to Vakkaru proved to be the best yet, which says a lot. We stayed in an over-water villa that was simply perfect. The interior is exquisite, offering ample space and amenities. It features a spacious bathroom and a fantastic outdoor deck with breathtaking lagoon views. The room was cleaned to immaculate standards every day. Each meal was outstanding; Onu is unparalleled, and the updated Lagoon Bar menu—with seven Japanese dishes—boasts real improvements, leaving our group raving about every dish. The beach seafood BBQ was another exceptional experience, offering amazing food quality and a wide selection. Spa treatments were divine. We tried parasailing and turtle snorkeling with the dive center team, both incredible experiences. The staff was excellent, ensuring our comfort. Sports facilities were excellent again, with padel tennis being a favorite, along with the coconut club for table tennis and pool. We also enjoyed chess and cocktails at the cabana bar! Lastly, a huge thanks to the staff who made us feel welcomed and special. Their service is truly first-rate, with nothing too much to ask. Special thanks to Sato our butler and Gie, who we often met in the restaurants. It was lovely to see familiar faces such as Angel, Chillu, and Almas, and wonderful to meet Teddy, the GM. We look forward to returning to our favorite place on earth. x
