The perfect Nam Xay Viewpoint

The ideal site for one of Laos' most spectacular vistas is Nam Xay Viewpoint in Vang Vieng. Unbeatable views of craggy limestone cliffs, lush forests, and rice fields may be had from the top. You'll reach the top after a 30-minute intermediate trek, where you'll almost certainly find peace and quiet, as well as an incredible photo opportunity with a motorbike inexplicably left there by locals. But, before you begin taking pictures, take a deep breath and unwind in the hammock.

The best time to visit Nam Xay Viewpoint is an hour or two before sunset, regardless of the season. The heat has subsided, and you'll be able to watch a stunning sunset from the top. However, don't linger too late after the sun sets; the hike down is much frightening and perilous in the dark. The locals who keep track of all the visitors will wait for you if you're the last person to make the trip down.
