Jinshan Temple, located on Jinshan Mountain northwest of Zhenjiang City, is renowned for its temple, boasting a history of over 1,600 years. Originally named Zexin Temple and also known as Longyou Temple, it was inscribed "Jiangtian Zen Temple" by Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty. However, since the Tang Dynasty, it has been known as Jinshan Temple.

As Jinshan is located on the bank of the Yangtze River, the scenic area has a unique architectural style. The palaces, halls, pavilions and towers are all built against the mountain. In addition, the Cishou Pagoda rises abruptly on the top of Jinshan. Looking at Jinshan from the river, you can only see the temple but not the mountain. Therefore, it is famous at home and abroad for the scenery of "Jinshan Temple wrapped in the mountain, you can see the temple and the pagoda but not the mountain".

Jinshan Temple is built into the mountainside, with halls and pavilions connected one after another. The Cishou Pagoda stands tall atop Jinshan, rising from the ground and soaring into the sky. From the foot of the mountain to the summit, layers of halls and pavilions densely envelop Jinshan, making the mountain and the temple seamlessly integrated.
