"Xiangkun" means "City of Gods", but this temple, originally named "Xiangkun Temple", does not have a hall for enshrining Buddha statues.
The only thing that can be called a "building" inside is this spherical building that looks like a big pumpkin, also known as the "Hell Heaven Tower".
There are three floors in total, corresponding to "hell", "human world" and "heaven" respectively.
Visitors can enter the spherical building through its open mouth.
Many people say that its unique shape is very similar to the buildings in the game "Temple Run".

Passing through the group of Buddha statues, the end of Xiangkun Temple is the Mekong River. The gardens along the way are nice and suitable for taking photos. There are pavilions for tourists to take a rest on the banks of the Mekong River, and on the other side of the river is Thailand's Nong Khai Province.

The Buddha statues in Xiangkun Temple completely subvert people’s traditional impression of Buddhism, giving people a refreshing feeling. In 2022, Xiangkun Temple was selected as a local heritage site of Vientiane City. Therefore, there is a saying among the people that "If you don't visit Xiangkun Temple, your trip to Laos is in vain."

⚠️There are two ways to go to the Buddha Park:
1. There is a bus every half an hour at the bus stop (No.14 Bus Stop) near Khua Din Bus Station. The fare is 18,000 kip per person and the journey takes 45 minutes.
2. Charter a tutu car, the round-trip cost is about 200,000 kip.
