What most people do is to travel the ring (main) road around the island and see all the hotspots. Yes, they are more amazing to see and yes, I saw them as well a few times. But what I can really advise you to do is the following: rent a 4x4 car, take your friends and drive into the highlands. You won’t regret it. It’s the craziest place I’ve ever been to in my life. Around every corner you discover new green volcanoes, huge waterfalls and glaciers. 100% recommended!!
