Third Visit: Hospitality Still Remarkable

This was our third visit to this incredible island, and we were not let down as the hospitality remained excellent. There was some concern before arriving since improvements are underway on one section of the island, but there was no need to worry because the work had no effect on us at all. We’re actually eager to return next year to see the completed upgrades. We were welcomed by Thathi, our host for the week, who ensured we were well taken care of and informed about happenings on the island. The food quality was superb as usual; The Spice and Well Done are favorites, but we made sure to visit the buffet daily for its diverse array of cuisines. (Captain) Vijay and his team consistently ensured our needs were met and our glasses were always full. I'll certainly miss Chef Chaminda and his amazing curries, eagerly anticipating what surprises he would cook for us. The Main bar has relocated since last year, but we loved the deck over the sea where we could watch massive sharks swimming by at 22:30 each evening. Ranjeeth and Digajan (sorry if I’ve misspelled your names) attentively looked after us, never failing to notice when we needed another Pina Colada or white wine... ☺️ These are just a few individuals who made our vacation special once again, but every staff member goes out of their way to ensure your stay is unforgettable. We’re saddened to leave our extended family but are eagerly counting down the days until our return.
