Wakayama Castle is the home of the Kishu Domain of the Tokugawa Gosanke

Mount Torafuku is located in the center of Wakayama City, Wakayama Prefecture. Wakayama Castle was built on top of the mountain and was the home base of the Kishu Tokugawa clan. The inside of the castle tower, rebuilt after the war, is also an observation deck with a panoramic view of the city. There is even a teahouse and a zoo on the premises.
