Zijingshan Park, located in northeastern Zhengzhou, is part of the old Shang Dynasty city site. It borders the Jinshui River to the south, Jinshui Avenue to the north, Chengdong Road to the east, and the Yellow River Museum to the west. Key attractions include the Rose Garden, Lake Island, Fishing Village, Cherry Blossom Hill, and Mengxi Garden.
The greening of Zijingshan Park is mainly based on ancient pines and cypresses, with flowers and shrubs of various colors dotted in between; trees, shrubs, flowers and grasses are planted in a coordinated manner to construct a large area of forest and grassland landscape. There are 120 tree species and more than 24,000 trees in the country; the green area is 158,000 square meters, with a coverage rate of 93.2%. Garden architectural art pieces and scenic stones are spread throughout the main scenic areas, making the beautiful park more lively and elegant.
The East Garden, comprised of the Green Rhythm Scenic Area, East Lake Scenic Area, and Children's Playground, features a landscape dominated by mountains and rivers. From the East Gate entrance, one can admire a verdant expanse of shrubs and lush pines and cypresses. In the West Garden, weeping willows lining the lakebanks and the shimmering waters of the lake reveal key attractions such as the Rose Garden, Lake Island, Fishing Village, and Cherry Blossom Hill. A suspension bridge connects the East and South Gardens. The South Garden primarily features ornamental plants; the former flower and plant nursery has been converted into a rose garden and a sacred forest garden.
