Take the kids to check in at the "Kite Capital," tested and proven to have 3 days of fun without getting tired! Save this valuable guide now~
Day 1 Intangible Cultural Heritage Enlightenment Day✨
In the morning, rush to the Weifang World Kite Museum (free! Closed on Mondays). The 30-meter giant centipede kite makes kids scream with excitement. DIY kite making is only 50 RMB per person, then fly it directly at the square for a full sense of achievement!
At noon, head straight to the Old Weixian Food Street. Wang’s Meat Fire Cake is so crispy it flakes apart, paired with a bowl of tofu pudding for the kids. This is the authentic local flavor that people have enjoyed since childhood.
In the afternoon, visit Yangjiabu New Year Picture Grand View Garden. Intangible cultural heritage teachers teach block printing hand-in-hand. Take home a "Year after Year Surplus" New Year picture, and your photos will get tons of attention on social media. In the evening, stroll through Shihu Garden’s night scene, where lights highlight Ming and Qing dynasty architecture. Wearing matching parent-child outfits for photos is a perfect shot.
Day 2 Nature Play Day🌿
In the morning, Jinbao Park offers unbeatable value! Free for kids under 1.2 meters. You can feed giraffes, chase little pigs, and enjoy a gentle carousel while parents relax in the shade.
At noon, enjoy a farmhouse meal in the park with freshly picked vegetables stir-fried with meat—so fragrant that the kids can’t stop eating.
In the afternoon, go to Bailang River Wetland Park. Rent a parent-child bike for 20 RMB and ride along the sea of flowers. Bring a bubble machine; every photo is a healing scene. You can also row boats and catch little fish (remember to bring an extra set of clothes). At night, hit Taihua City Night Market, where egg burgers and fruit bowls let the kids eat and dance at the same time.
Day 3 Science Exploration Day🦕
In the morning, visit Weifang Science and Technology Museum (free with reservation). Simulated volcanoes and space capsules keep kids playing so much they don’t want to leave. Explore three floors of cutting-edge technology for 2 hours.
At noon, dine at the Chengnan Memories themed restaurant, eating in a vintage train compartment. Kids’ meals come with a small kite toy, adding a full sense of ceremony.
In the afternoon, choose between Huanghuaxi in Qingzhou (gentle downhill rafting, suitable for the whole family) or Zhucheng Dinosaur Museum. The T-Rex fossil skeleton keeps boys glued, and you can learn about paleontology at the same time.
💡 Tested Tips:
1. Bargain kites at the Kite Museum entrance down to 30 RMB each, half the price of the scenic area;
2. Taxi fare for the whole trip is about 150 RMB. Driving yourself is more flexible, and travel time between attractions is within 20 minutes;
3. Visiting in mid to late October allows an extra stop at Linqu Shimen Archway, a half-hour climb to enjoy red leaves, perfect for photos.
Weifang parent-child trips are low cost and comprehensive, with intangible cultural heritage + nature + science all in one place. Kids fall asleep as soon as they hit the bed, and parents can relax too~ Which activity do you most want to experience with your kids?
