Day 1: Wenshan City Cultural Exploration
Morning: Visit Wenshan Prefecture Museum, focusing on the ancient Juting Kingdom artifacts and ethnic costumes exhibition to learn about the history of Sanqi culture.
Afternoon: Climb Wenbi Tower for a panoramic view of the city, then head to Qidu Ancient Town before evening to experience the intangible cultural heritage of iron flower forging and Hanfu parade.
Food recommendations: Nande Yi Chou (special stinky tofu), Zhuangjia Tianyuan (Zhuang ethnic cuisine).

Cultural interaction: Participate in the intangible heritage Nongya Wai dance performance and try making five-color glutinous rice (sessions at 10:00/15:00).

August is the rainy season; bring rain gear and non-slip shoes;
For self-driving tours, it is recommended to charter a car to remote spots (such as Changputang);
Waterproof shoe covers are needed inside the cave (5 RMB/pair at the scenic area), carry cash (some areas have weak signal);
Best photo times: Bamei sunrise (6:30), Sanla Waterfall afternoon (light penetrating the mist).
This itinerary balances classic check-ins and off-the-beaten-path secrets, suitable for photography enthusiasts and cultural experiencers. If time allows, you can replace it with Nongren Valley Scenic Area (glass plank road + helicopter sightseeing).
