✈️ Many friends use Jakarta as a transit stop. But ever since I stayed at this hotel near Chinatown, I’m all set for a deep dive into Jakarta next time! Although Jakarta has many luxurious star-rated hotels, if you want easy access to the airport and convenient city sightseeing, this four-star hotel under the InterContinental brand is definitely the one for you.

The hotel is located in the entertainment and commercial district of Chinatown, only 22.6 kilometers from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. During off-peak hours, it takes just 45 minutes by car. It’s very convenient to visit attractions like the National Museum, National Monument, and Jakarta History Museum, and it’s close to century-old coffee shops for a quick photo op. The mall is right above the hotel, offering everything from dining and drinks to entertainment.

🛏️ Rooms
I stayed in the city view standard king room. Even the most basic room starts at 40 square meters. The view from the 19th floor is already great, and you can even see the sea❗️ The room has both soft and firm pillows to satisfy different preferences. The wooden decor gives a cozy, homey feel. Bathroom amenities come in large bottles, which are both practical and eco-friendly. The room’s soundproofing and window insulation are excellent. The room provides two bottles of drinking water and a mini fridge. The bedside is equipped with Bluetooth speakers, and the paintings are exquisite.

There is security screening at the hotel entrance and the mall connection. The front desk has a young man wearing glasses who speaks Chinese. The hotel’s outdoor pool and gym are highlights, but I didn’t get to experience them because I had to catch a flight. Seeing so many business travelers from China loving this hotel shows just how influential InterContinental is worldwide! Next time I come to Jakarta, I’ll definitely stay here❗️
