Hadamu Gate and Red Rock Cliff Daily Departures

Hadamu National Forest Park is located in Wuchuan County, Hohhot City, about 30 kilometers from the city center. It is best to drive yourself or hire a car to get there. Taking a taxi is not recommended, as you might find a ride to the park, but getting a return ride could be challenging.

Tickets: 40 RMB + Shuttle Bus: 30 RMB = Total: 70 RMB
The shuttle bus is usually mandatory since private cars are not allowed inside, and the park is too large to explore on foot.

First Stop: "Misty Forest." This area features yurts, stargazing tents, a sika deer park, and electric vehicle rentals (price not inquired). The highlight is feeding the sika deer, saving you a trip to Nara, Japan. A cup of carrot sticks costs 10 RMB. Unlike the smelly sika deer in zoos, the ones here are relatively odor-free, and the ground is clean. The deer are friendly, not aggressive, and enjoy being petted, making it safe for children to feed them.

Second Stop: "Cloud Sea Viewpoint." Essentially, this is a scenic spot equipped with three or four cliff swings. You can enjoy the view, swing, and take photos.

Third Stop: "Wooden Walkway." This involves hiking up a wooden path. Although the hill is not very high, climbing under the summer sun can be tiring. At the top, there is a large viewing platform, eight large Aobao (Mongolian cairns), and many smaller ones likely built by visitors.

Fourth Stop: "Liaomu Sacred Mountain Viewing Platform." There is no mobile signal here, whether you use China Mobile or China Unicom. This area seems to be under construction, with no stairs, only dirt paths leading up. At the top, there is a three-story circular stone platform. The view is similar to the previous stops.

1:00 PM - Depart from Hadamu Forest Park and head to Red Rock Cliff National Ecological Park, approximately 1.5 hours by car.

Visit the Red Rock Cliff Temple to admire its magnificent architecture and rich religious culture.

Head to Red Rock Cliff.

West Peak of Red Rock Cliff: Enjoy a panoramic view where the Danxia landform and the sunset create a stunning scene.

6:30 PM - Stroll on the grasslands, take in the surrounding natural beauty, watch herds of cattle and sheep, and enjoy the pre-sunset scenery. After watching the sunset, return to the city, which is about a 1.5-hour drive away.
