This is a route I often choose when I feel lost, and it always brings different surprises. It is known as Wuhan's 'Little Qingdao', a place where one can feel the romantic charm of Qingdao during the crisp autumn season.
🌲 Address: Xiong Yanbi Park
🚌 Transportation: Take the subway line 7 to the Fat Street Station (Exit D), then transfer to bus number 11 and get off at Xiong Yanbi Park; if driving, navigate directly to Xiong Yanbi Park (🎫free admission, free parking).
🚗 Walking route: Start from the main entrance of the park → Airplane check-in spot → Turn right and go uphill to Xiong's Ancestral Hall → Follow the bamboo fence trail → Pass through the rest courtyard → Reach the top of the hill → Descend the hill from the right exit. The steps on this route are gentle, and it takes about 30 minutes to walk up the hill. The view from the top is beautiful, making one feel as if they are by the sea in Qingdao.
If you have enough time, after visiting Xiong Yanbi Park, you can drive (about a 10-minute drive) to Zhupi Mountain (also known as Jufen Mountain) to experience the beautiful scenery of Wuhan's 'Little Qingdao'. The orange-colored trail railings, overlooking the red-tiled and white-bricked urban area from the top of the mountain, gazing at Bafen Mountain, make one feel as if they are in Qingdao, and you can also enjoy the romantic sunset view (please check the weather before going out to avoid fog affecting the view).
This route is suitable for couples, family weekend outings, or solo walks. I visit this route several times a year, and it has become a part of my life.
❗When going out for outdoor activities, it is recommended to carry dry food and water, wear comfortable hiking shoes, and carry a walking stick to make the journey more enjoyable.
