This is Mount Wutai, absolutely breathtaking!

Mount Wutai is truly a heartwarming place💜 The most beautiful temples in my heart are Nanshan Temple, Xiantong Temple, and Guanghua Temple.

This time, I explored three new temples: Zhenhai Temple, Xiantong Temple, and Guanghua Temple.
Zhenhai Temple is said to be where Emperor Shunzhi became a monk—it's decent but nothing extraordinary.
Xiantong Temple requires a separate ticket of 10 yuan, which is absolutely worth it. The temple is stunningly beautiful and vast.
The color scheme of Guanghua Temple is also absolutely gorgeous!
Revisiting Nanshan Temple was still full of surprises. I really love Nanshan Temple—it's a place perfect for spending a quiet whole day. Nanshan Temple is one of the filming locations for "Black Myth: Wukong."
I revisited Luohou Temple and had a vegetarian meal there—a great experience. The meal was originally only for residents, but the master kindly allowed us in. Thank you, master. (Luohou Temple offers accommodation, and the conditions are decent🉑).

Additional updates and tips:🔖
1. Tayuan Temple has been under renovation for years—no need to visit for now.
2. Dailuoding still doesn’t have a cable car—you’ll have to hike.
3. The drone show in Fanjingli Town has been canceled.
4. Wuye Temple is super crowded—go early. After 10 AM, traffic control starts, and private cars aren’t allowed up the mountain. You’ll have to take a bus. The control usually lifts around noon. If you don’t have to go in the morning, try after 3 PM—it’s much less crowded. Morning queues can take about two hours, with lines both outside and inside the temple. There’s no shade, so be sure to protect yourself from the sun and avoid heatstroke.

5. The UV radiation in the Mount Wutai area is very strong. The temperature might seem mild, but the sunlight is intense. Be sure to prepare sun protection: umbrella, hat, face cover, and long sleeves/pants.
6. It’s best to bring small change with you before coming.
7. Everything sold outside the temples—whether hada scarves or plaques—is a scam. Don’t fall for it. The so-called "Dharma distribution centers" are just private vendors—not recommended for purchases.
8. Wuye Temple and Shuxiang Temple are the absolute top two temples, with very strong incense offerings. Since Mount Wutai is the sacred site of Manjushri Bodhisattva, all temples here feature him, but the largest Manjushri statue in Asia is at Shuxiang Temple. Dawenshu Temple features the Sword-Wielding Manjushri. Other temples are mainly for sightseeing, but for making wishes, Wuye Temple and Shuxiang Temple are the best.
9. For the Grand Pilgrimage (Dachao Tai), you can hire a scenic area vehicle to cover it in one day. The Small Pilgrimage (Xiaochao Tai) involves climbing Dailuoding. If that’s too difficult, you can go to Pusading—108 steps also count.
