The Baoshengyuan project is located in the Ermaodong Scenic Area of Maoshan Scenic Area, a National 5A-level tourist attraction. It is approximately 60 kilometers from Zhenjiang, Changzhou, and Nanjing. National Highways 312, 104, and 340, as well as the Ningchang and Yangli Expressways, run through the entire area. The project, covering 3,200 mu (approximately 1.5 billion yuan), is jointly invested by Mr. Xin Changbao, Chairman of Shengshida Company, a renowned Changzhou entrepreneur, and Mr. Iwasaki Daizo, Vice President of the World Bonsai Friendship Alliance and a renowned Japanese businessman.
The Baosheng Garden project will draw on the successful experiences of Guangzhou Baomo Garden, Suzhou Jingsi Garden, and the Jeju Island Bonsai Garden in South Korea. By incorporating strengths from these institutions, the project will establish a bonsai and flower research institute, focusing on bonsai art as the core of the entire park and organically integrating garden art culture with modern tourism and leisure culture. The project will establish an international platform for the exchange of bonsai, flower, and garden art from around the world, striving to become one of the world's most renowned cultural and artistic gardens.
Baosheng Garden officially began construction on February 6, 2009, and is expected to open in the first half of 2015. Upon completion, it will become a massive landscape garden, aiming to become a first-class world-class bonsai theme park in China, the largest forest adventure and RV camping base in East China, and a key leisure and wellness valley in the Yangtze River Delta. Together with Oriental Salt Lake City and Jinsha Bay Country Club, it will become a national 5A-rated Maoshan Tourism Resort, integrating leisure, vacation, wellness, fitness, sports, and spiritual blessings.
