Wuxi Nanchan Temple

Founded during the reign of Emperor Wu of the Liang Dynasty in the Southern Dynasties, originally named Huguo Temple, it is the oldest extant Buddhist temple in Jiangnan. It is known as the "first of the 480 temples of the Southern Dynasties." Miaoguang Pagoda, built during the Northern Song Dynasty, is a seven-story, eight-sided brick pagoda and one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Wuxi.
