I originally intended to find a place to retreat, and unexpectedly, this homestay on the edge of the cliff was just what I wished for.

Staying on the cliff, surrounded by dense trees, the environment is quiet and secluded, as if isolated from the world. It features elements of Jiangnan water town with white walls and black tiles, as well as the rustic charm of traditional rammed earth houses. The room has extra-large floor-to-ceiling windows, and opening them reveals a view where the continuous mountain ranges seem within reach.

The homestay host is skilled at cooking delicious homemade and farmhouse dishes, featuring Southeast Asian and Cantonese flavors. There is an afternoon tea perfectly combining Western desserts and Chinese savory snacks, as well as whole roasted lamb and outdoor barbecue, which satisfied my foodie cravings. Nearby attractions include Yanfusi Temple, Niutoushan National Forest Park, Shili Lotus Scenic Area, and Wuyi Racing Circuit.
