Finally checked off this fairyland destination in Shangrao, Jiangxi! The 3-day, 2-night trip was incredibly fulfilling. Sanqing Mountain and the ancient villages of Wuyuan are absolutely breathtaking—every shot is postcard-worthy 📸
🚗 Itinerary Guide:
Day 1:
📍 Sanqing Mountain: Truly lives up to its reputation as a sacred Taoist mountain. Take the cable car up and hike to see sights like "Giant Python Emerging from the Mountain" and "Oriental Goddess." The misty clouds make it magical (Ticket + Cable Car: ¥245).
Tips: Arrive by 7 AM for fewer crowds, better views, and cooler weather.
Day 2:
📍 Wuyuan Huangling: Step into a thousand-year-old village famous for its "sun-drying autumn" harvests. The terraced fields and black-tiled, white-walled houses are incredibly photogenic (Ticket: ¥145, includes cable car).
📍 Likeng: A charming Hui-style ancient village with small bridges and flowing water. Best visited at dusk for the most beautiful light.
Day 3:
📍 Wangxian Valley: A real-life fantasy world! The cliffside homestays and waterfalls are awe-inspiring (Ticket: ¥100).
Tips: Don’t miss the light show at 7 PM.
🍜 Food Recommendations:
✅ Yanshan Hot Rice Noodles: Lao Zuo Rice Noodle Shop near Shangrao Railway Station is the most authentic.
✅ Wuyuan Steamed Rice Cake: Available at farmhouse restaurants near Likeng.
✅ Sanqing Mountain River Fish: A must-order at local farmhouse eateries.
🏠 Accommodation Tips:
Stay overnight on Sanqing Mountain for sunrise views (Goddess Hotel is highly recommended).
For Wuyuan, book a stay inside Huangling Scenic Area (the "Sun-Drying Autumn" homestay is full of charm).
🚆 Transportation:
Take the high-speed train to Shangrao Station. Renting a car is recommended due to the distance between attractions.
