A Must-Try Hand-Shaken Drink in Xi'an - Chahuanong

This time, I specifically came to try the highly recommended Chahuanong. The name of the shop exudes an ancient charm, and the names of the drinks are quite poetic. I ordered 'Half a Day of Leisure' and 'Grape Jade Asks Ink', both of which were excellent!

🍵 Half a Day of Leisure (Jingyang Fu Tea + Milk)

Using Jingyang Fu Tea as the base, the rich aroma of black tea carries a hint of aged fragrance, paired with smooth and delicate milk, creating a warm and mellow taste. The addition of old salt sugar perfectly blends the sweetness with a slight salty flavor, adding a rich layer of taste.

🍇 Grape Jade Asks Ink

This fruit tea combines grapes, mulberries, and oolong tea. The initial taste is the fresh sweetness of grapes, followed by the juicy and tangy mulberries, and finally, the rich oolong tea flavor slowly releases, bringing a balanced aftertaste. The perfect combination of tea and fruit makes this drink moderately sweet and sour, not cloying, and super refreshing with every sip.
