A Must-Stay for Xi'an Citywalk! An Aesthetic Hideaway Hotel with a View of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda✨
Having stayed at more than ten hotels in Xi'an, Zhiyin Courtyard is simply divine! This hidden gem guesthouse located at the North Square of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda perfectly embodies the true meaning of "prosperity outside, seclusion inside," making it a happiness amplifier for ancient city travelers.
📍 Location So Good It's Almost Unfair
Just a 2-minute walk to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda North Square Fountain, 5 minutes to Tang Paradise, and leisurely walking distance to Joy City and Daci'en Temple[__LINK_ICON]. The subway station is also very close, making it super convenient to get to the Shaanxi History Museum and the Chang'an Twelve Hours scenic area—perfect for avid walkers! The best part is that some rooms offer a window view directly facing the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. When the lights come on at night, it feels as if the moonlight of the flourishing Tang Dynasty truly flows into the room.
🏡 Full Chinese Aesthetic
The 3,000-square-meter courtyard holds many surprises, with wild green bamboo shading the blue tiles and white walls, each tile and pebble exuding Zen vibes. The 30 guest rooms each have their own unique scenery and are named after "Water, Light, Stone, and Valley." Wooden furniture paired with warm lighting and a Chinese wabi-sabi style make for fantastic photo opportunities. The scenic room I stayed in had a private balcony where I could sunbathe and enjoy the pagoda view during the day, and soak in a bath to unwind at night—pure bliss.
💡 Details That Touch the Heart
The smart devices in the room are perfect for lazy guests! Just say "Xiaodu" to turn lights on/off or adjust the air conditioning. The 2-meter-wide bed has bedding with just the right firmness, instantly melting away travel fatigue[__LINK_ICON]. The breakfast offers a full range of Western and Chinese options, and the afternoon tea deserves praise—handmade Tang pastries with zero sugar and zero oil, paired with a cup of Chang'an coffee. Sitting in the courtyard and zoning out is the perfect example of "slow life in Chang'an."
The service is heartwarmingly thoughtful: the front desk proactively helps with luggage, extra pillows arrive within five minutes, and for early high-speed train departures, they prepare warm packed breakfasts and coffee. They even thoughtfully organize a travel guide for Tang Paradise[__LINK_ICON].
During my two days at Zhiyin, stepping outside meant the lively atmosphere of Tang Paradise, while stepping inside brought the tranquility of the bamboo courtyard. This balance of bustle and calm is the right way to experience Xi'an travel! Next time I come to Chang'an, I’ll definitely stay here again~
