Help! Xiamen's "Wanghai" is explosively romantic! Heart-shaped stairs + sunset concerts, perfect for capturing stunning photos!
I discovered a place called "Wanghai" in Xiamen, and it's unbelievably romantic! It's truly a dating paradise. The moment you arrive, you'll be amazed by its beauty, and you'll find yourself taking so many photos that your fingers might get sore! This spot offers views of the sea, sunsets, evening glow, the Twin Towers, and even live music performances and a café. The staff there confirmed that you can enjoy all of this in one place—it's like stepping into a postcard!
They serve afternoon tea, Western cuisine, pasta, and drinks, so you can sit back and enjoy a leisurely time. The highlight is their "Sunset Mountain-Sea Concert," which happens every evening at sunset, starting at 5:30 PM. There's music, bubble machines, and cold fireworks, creating an incredible atmosphere! I recommend the best times to visit:
- Around 4 PM: The sunlight isn't too harsh, perfect for capturing blue skies and white clouds while waiting for the sunset.
- Around 5:30 PM: Slightly later, but it might be hard to find the perfect spot. However, sunsets are meant to be enjoyed together.
- Around 6:30 PM: Ideal for this season to catch the sunset and the blue hour, which is breathtaking. Plus, there's the concert, though you might need to queue.
‼️ Make sure to visit on a day with good weather, preferably when the skies are clear during the day or when there's a sunset in the evening for the best experience! Recommended photo spots:
- Heart-shaped stairs, super photogenic.
- Extra-long heart-shaped crosswalk, very unique.
- Spring seaside cottage (newly opened).
- Monet Garden (newly opened).
- Sunset glow combined with the concert, very storytelling.
- "Xiamen" wall, a must-visit for photos.
For transportation, you can take a taxi directly to the bottom of the stairs. Make sure to tell the driver "ONLY ONE Wanghai Café"! After getting off, you'll need to climb a small slope and many heart-shaped stairs, so be careful if you're wearing high heels. If you're taking the bus, routes 29 and 47 will get you to "Zengshan Station," but you'll need to walk about 10 minutes and climb a steep slope, which can be tiring! For outfits, I recommend light or bright colors, and wearing a cute dress will make your photos even more stunning.
Address: No. 21, Tianquan Road, Zengshan, Siming District, Xiamen City.
Opening hours: 9:00 AM to midnight. Parking is available at the entrance, but it's first-come, first-served.
When I visited, it was quite crowded, but the atmosphere was great. The music was enjoyable, and you could see the Twin Towers across the way. It's definitely worth checking out!
