Gulou Street 🍢

We wandered into Gulou Street as the afternoon began to cool, the narrow road stretching between rows of old shophouses painted in faded reds and yellows 🌇🏘️🍂. The stone beneath our feet felt worn, shaped by years of footsteps, and the air carried the scent of tea, old wood, and the faintest trace of incense from a nearby shrine. Somewhere deeper in the alleys, a radio played an old song, its melody floating lazily through open windows.

Shops spilled gently onto the street calligraphy brushes, vintage postcards, snacks wrapped in crinkled paper all displayed with the ease of a place unhurried by time 📜🍵🖌️. Locals sat on low stools, chatting between slow sips of tea, their conversations mixing with the occasional clatter of a passing scooter. Gulou Street didn’t feel like a destination it felt like a memory still unfolding, the kind you don’t rush because the best parts happen quietly, just around the next corner 🚶♀️🕰️🌿.
