Coconut Grove Pool Wild Luxury Resort

Taking the kids to Xiamen for winter break, and we stumbled upon a treasure on a whim! For this five-day, four-night trip, we stayed the last two nights at the legendary family-friendly top-tier Xiamen Haiyue Villa Hotel, and it truly lives up to the hype! After transferring from Shangri-La, the whole family, young and old, became fans here~ 🌊

📍Prime Location
The address at 3999 Huandao South Road is absolutely perfect! Just a 5-minute walk to the exclusive access to Huangcuo Beach, so no rushing for sunrise views or evening sandcastle building. Keep an eye on the hotel shuttle schedule—super convenient for trips to the Botanical Garden and kids’ area. Our room faced the sea, and the kids woke up every morning shouting, "Let’s go see the waves"~

🎪Fun Family Facilities
• Unlimited rides on the little train! Circling the estate is so much fun
• Indoor and outdoor pools plus a water park, kept at a cozy 28°C during winter break, not cold at all
• Botanical science activities are super interesting; the kids seriously collected leaves to exchange for gifts
• The kids’ playground is much bigger than in the photos, and with two hours of daycare, mom finally got to enjoy a coffee break

💯Thoughtful Service Details
We contacted the butler in advance to prepare a crib and rice porridge, and upon arrival, they even gave us a toy excavator! The room shows some age (after all, it’s a classic hotel), but it’s very well maintained—the carpet is clean enough to run barefoot. The only minor downside is slower service response during peak season, so we recommend dining off-peak~

📸Photo-Worthy Spots
1. The European-style corridor in the center of the estate, beautifully lit by the afternoon sun at 4 PM
2. The wooden boardwalk to the beach, perfect for family photos with bougainvillea in the background
3. The rainbow slide at the water park, great for capturing water play moments
4. The room balcony with a telephoto lens to shoot the waves, atmospheric even on cloudy days

🍽️Foodie Tips
Don’t miss the Minnan-style noodle porridge for breakfast! Nearby recommendations:
• A 10-minute walk to "Lin’s Minnan Cuisine" (the ginger duck is incredibly fragrant)
• An 8-minute taxi ride to Zengcuoan Night Market (very crowded, not recommended with kids)
• The hotel’s Chinese restaurant serves surprisingly good tubeworm jelly, which the kids also liked

💡Booking Tips
• Book family suites at least one month in advance for winter break and holidays
• Off-season offers great value, garden rooms with breakfast under 1,000 RMB
• Diamond members should request sea view rooms; standard rooms don’t have ocean views

This spontaneous trip proved that choosing the right hotel really saves lazy parents! The kids burn off energy all day, and the whole family soaks in the bath while watching the night sea—this is what a holiday should be like~ Planning to come back in summer to enjoy the water park again!
