A hidden gem hotel recommended by my friends in Xiamen, I didn’t want to leave after staying here!

I originally just wanted to stay casually around the East Sea area, but I was amazed by this Mercure Hotel! From the moment I walked in, I was completely impressed. The lobby design is simple yet grand, the front desk staff’s smile was very warm, and the check-in process was super fast.

✨ Room Soundproofing and Cleanliness
I was even more surprised when I entered the room. The decor is the modern style I like, with light tones that look especially clean and comfortable. The cleanliness is impeccable—bed sheets and duvet covers are snow-white and neatly arranged, and even the corners of the bathroom are spotless. What satisfied me the most was the soundproofing. Outside the window is the city view, but at night it’s as quiet as living in the countryside. I slept until I naturally woke up, which was so healing! The bedding is also very comfortable, moderately firm and soft, feeling even better than my bed at home.

🍽️ Dining Experience
The breakfast deserves praise! The restaurant is bright and spacious, with so many dishes it’s hard to choose. There are Xiamen specialties like satay noodles and peanut soup, as well as Western options like bacon, fried eggs, and bread. There’s also a wide variety of fresh fruits and yogurts. I ate there for two days in a row and found new surprises every day. The service was very attentive, clearing plates promptly and proactively asking if I needed any drinks.

🎁 Other Tips
The hotel’s location is actually quite convenient. Although it’s not in the old town, it’s close to the subway station, making it easy to get to Gulangyu Island and Zhongshan Road by subway. There’s a convenience store and some small restaurants right downstairs, so it’s very convenient for shopping and dining. By the way, their gym is not big, but the equipment is very new and complete. Guests can use it for free during their stay, so fitness enthusiasts can definitely go for it!

In short, this is definitely one of the best value-for-money hotels I’ve stayed at in Xiamen. I will choose to stay here again next time! The address is No. 1 Guanbin Road, Tong’an District, Xiamen City.
