My visit to the Xiamen Museum was highlighted by the incredible Fujian-Taiwan Kinship exhibition. This isn't just a display of artifacts; it's a powerful and moving narrative about the inseparable bond between the people of Fujian and Taiwan.

From the moment I stepped in, the exhibition guided me on a chronological and thematic journey. It brilliantly illustrates how, throughout centuries, migration across the Taiwan Strait shaped both cultures. The displays on folk traditions, language, and religion were particularly striking. Seeing the parallel rituals for Mazu, the sea goddess, and the The museum uses a fantastic mix of life-sized dioramas, historical documents, maps, and multimedia presentations.
