🏝 Legend has it that 490 years ago, the third generation of King Ji of the Ming Dynasty and his concubine Xu were on a spring outing here. On the way, it rained, and they saw raindrops falling on the lotus leaves, jumping like thousands of pearls. They were inspired by the scene and named it "Yuhu" (Rain Lake). Yuhu is a cultural feast and a natural landscape feast in Xiangtan. Every pavilion, every ancient tree, and every pebble path is permeated with the beautiful memories and nostalgia of the people of Xiangtan.
🏝 Yuhu Park was built in 1954. It is located in the old city of Hexi, Xiangtan, near the Xiangjiang River. The lake covers an area of about 12 hectares and is divided into three lakes: upper, middle, and lower. Along Yuhu Road, from the west entrance of the upper lake next to the first bridge of Xiangtan, you will first see a small piece of water separated by green shade and pavilions.
