The Memorial Hall of the Mengzi Branch of Southwest Associated University was built in 2011 at the former site of the Mengzi Branch of Southwest Associated University, the Colliers Trading Company. The exhibition content of the memorial hall is divided into four parts: the history of the Mengzi Branch of the National Southwest Associated University, the history of the Mengzi Branch of the National Southwest Associated University, and the history of the National Southwest Associated University, with a total of eight exhibition halls. It introduces the educational history of the Mengzi Branch of the National Southwest Associated University in a relatively comprehensive and detailed manner.
In 1938, Southwest Associated University established its Mengzi branch in Mengzi. Faculty and students from the College of Arts and the College of Law and Business taught here. Famous scholars such as Zhu Ziqing, Wen Yiduo, and Feng Youlan visited Mengzi, leaving behind indelible memories by the emerald-colored South Lake. In Mengzi, one can still trace the historical memories of the Mengzi branch through a series of historic sites and buildings, including the Mengzi Customs, the Gökçen Trading Company, the Zhou Family Residence, and the Bisezhai Railway Station.
