I had the good fortune to go to Xiaoxian this time. Although there are many scenic spots I wanted to visit, feeling the endless beauty of the outdoors in spring, I decided to start with a trip close to nature's mountains and waters, and Huangzangyu National Forest Park is my first choice destination for this 'Spring Tour of Jianghuai' self-driving trip to Xiaoxian.

Huangzangyu is located in the southeast of Xiaoxian, originally named Huangsangyu. It is said that during the Chu-Han Contention, Liu Bang, the founder of the Han dynasty, was defeated by Xiang Yu and took refuge here alone, hence the name 'Huangzangyu'.

1⃣️ Following the secluded paths of the scenic area, you can see towering rocks and lush forests.
2⃣️ Here is the best-preserved deciduous broad-leaved forest belt at the same latitude on Earth, as well as the largest ancient tree community in China. Coupled with the pleasant breeze and the fragrance of birds and flowers along the way, it makes one feel refreshed and full of vitality.
3⃣️ Everywhere you can see waterfalls, springs, and mysterious caves and valleys. Natural landscapes like the Sword Spring, Peach Blossom Cave, Viewing Cliff, Inkstone Washing Pool, and Guolao Cave Waterfall are all worth seeing.
4⃣️ When you climb up to the high viewing platform, the sense of relief and openness that comes from overlooking everything is the most healing.

➡️ Of course, the most unmissable is the Huangzang Cave, with its flat and smooth cave floor standing on a cliff, and a 'flying stone' blocking the entrance, where it is said that Liu Bang once hid.

➡️ Huangzangyu also has many uniquely styled temple buildings, such as the Ruiyun Temple, which is backed by a cliff, and the simple and dignified Tianmen Temple, which are not only attractions in themselves but are also surrounded by many scenic spots, making them very famous.
