An underrated autumn spot near Chengdu.

Sharing a lesser-known spot I visited with March last autumn. I was amazed at the time and am planning to go again this year!

🟠Depart from Chengdu and head to Maerkang first, then drive for another hour to Majiagou in Xiaojin County. The road conditions are good along the way, with few cars and beautiful scenery. It is recommended to stay in Maerkang❗️The accommodation conditions near Majiagou are not very good, and it will be very cold without air conditioning!
🟠Arrive at the Majiagou Visitor Center at 8:30 in the morning to buy tickets. The ticket and sightseeing car cost 60 in total. After buying the ticket, go directly to the ticket check and take the sightseeing car. It takes 15 minutes to reach the starting point of the hike. Then you can hike the entire 3.2 km and see the beautiful scenery, which is great for taking photos! Of course, you can also continue to walk 2 km after the end of the plank road to reach the end point, Moon Lake. The round trip takes a total of four and a half hours. If you want to go to the end point, it may take about 6 hours, depending on your physical strength.
🟠Majiagou begins to enter the golden scenery in mid-October. Friends who want to see yellow leaves, snow-capped mountains, and lakes can go! And it's pet-friendly! The altitude of the scenic area is not very high, just over 3,000. It is still very cold in the morning and evening, so be sure to wear a thick down jacket!
🟠Overall, I think Majiagou is a good place with few people and beautiful scenery. The autumn scenery is really good. Mid-October to early November is just right. If it's a bit later, there may be more snow~ The aerial view is even better!
