My trip to Hangzhou featuring West Lake (Xihu) and Lingyin Temple (Lingyin Si) was truly a highlight. West Lake is every bit as picturesque as the photos suggest. I spent hours strolling along the causeways, taking in the 'Ten Scenes' – each with its own unique charm. A boat ride on the lake offered a different perspective and a sense of calm. The atmosphere around the lake is simply beautiful, especially in the Spring Seasons




Lingyin Temple, nestled amidst lush hills, provides a spiritual contrast. The sheer scale of the temple complex is impressive, and the intricate details of the halls and statues are captivating. Feilai Peak with its ancient Buddhist rock carvings is a must-see before even entering the temple itself. Despite the crowds, there's a sense of peace within the temple grounds. I'd recommend allocating ample time to explore both the temple and Feilai Peak.




Overall, the combination of West Lake's natural beauty and Lingyin Temple's cultural significance makes for an unforgettable Hangzhou experience. Don't forget to try some local Hangzhou cuisine nearby!"
