Things you must know before visiting Lingyin Temple

🚌Transportation:
1. Subway + Bus
Route 1: Take Metro Line 1 to Longxiangqiao Station Exit A, then transfer to Bus No. 7 directly to Feilai Peak at Lingyin.
Route 2: Take Metro Line 3 or Line 10 to Huanglong Sports Center Exit B, then take the Lingyin Temple shuttle bus.
Other bus routes: You can choose Bus No. 505, 103, 121, 278, 1314, etc., and get off at Lingyin Station.
2. Self-driving: Navigate to "Lingyin Temple." There is a parking lot inside the scenic area, but parking spaces are limited during holidays. It is recommended to arrive early or choose public transportation.
🎫Tickets: Lingyin Temple tickets are divided into two parts: Feilai Peak scenic ticket is 45 RMB, Lingyin Temple ticket is 30 RMB. (You can scan the code to buy tickets on-site; student half-price tickets must be processed at the ticket window.)
✅Walking route: Feilai Peak scenic area entrance ➡️ walk up to Lingyin Temple ➡️ Yongfu Temple ➡️ Taoguang Temple ➡️ Lingshun Temple (The World's No.1 God of Wealth Temple).
✅Cable car route: Navigate to Beigaofeng Cable Car Ticket Office ➡️ take the cable car to the mountaintop ➡️ Lingshun Temple (The World's No.1 God of Wealth Temple) ➡️ Taoguang Temple ➡️ Yongfu Temple ➡️ Lingyin Temple.
About Blessings:
Tianwang Hall: Pray for peace
Mahavira Hall: Front side pray to Shakyamuni Buddha for all wishes; back side pray to Guanyin Bodhisattva for children and marriage
Medicine Buddha Hall: Pray for health and longevity
Huayan Hall: Pray for studies and career
Jigong Hall: Pray for good luck
Jialan Hall: Pray for wealth
Five Hundred Arhats Hall: Pray for a peaceful and prosperous life
Cultural Products:
Shibazi 46 RMB, Snake Year red string 78 RMB, recommended to buy inside the temple. Available at the entrance/exit and beside the Medicine Buddha Hall.
Hulu Tea is on the second floor of the Visitor Center, Money Bag Set 65.8 RMB (includes side dishes, drinks, and ornaments).
🍚Food:
Lingyin - Shifangyuan: Vegetarian noodles + snacks, usually crowded, recommend going early
Taoguang Temple - Taoguang Tea House: Drinks + vegetarian noodles + dim sum
Yongfu Temple - Fuquan Tea Garden: Vegetarian meals + vegetarian noodles
Feilai Peak Scenic Area: Grilled sausages, straw sandals cake, and other snacks
‼️Notes:
1. Traffic control is in effect on weekends and holidays; public transportation is recommended.
2. You can get a bottle of purified water at Huayan Hall, one per person.
3. Beigaofeng Cable Car fare: 30 RMB up, 20 RMB down; queues on holidays.
4. Sightseeing bus from Lingyin Temple to Faxing Temple is 10 RMB per person, boarding next to Lingyin Temple department store.
5. Dress appropriately; no revealing clothing.
6. You can get three free incense sticks upon entering the temple; do not buy incense outside as it cannot be brought in.
