Welcome to the most remote point in China

Otherwise known (and debated) as the geographic center of Asia, this is a monument in the far western region of Xinjiang and furthest from the sea than anywhere in the world.

Upon arrival, the complex itself was not at all what I expected to see. It was deserted. There wasn't another soul in sight apart from myself, my friend and our driver.

The momument sits towards the end of the complex, a 22 meter tall tower in the shape of an "A". And you can stand directly under the arrow that points to the exact location of the “Heart of Asia”. Pose away!

Find it: Urumqi, Xinijiang, China
Suggested visiting time: 30 minutes! There really is nothing more to see here other than the monument itself.
