Penang's must-see destinations

Many people visit Penang and go to Dochun Tea Room to enjoy a piece of charcoal toasted bread.

The author is no exception. Almost every time I visit Penang, I always visit him. This trip of just a few days, I also came twice, had breakfast and lunch respectively.

A brief introduction to Dochun, this is the local historic tea room, the old shop hidden in the alley next to the new street square, is the iron house shop, so hot hihi, mainly to eat flavor.

In recent years, however, Dochun has opened a branch, the new store entered the store, there is air conditioning, and there are more food options than the main store, these two times I went to help the new store, much more comfortable.

This brand is most famous for its charcoal grilled toast with curry sauce and butter.

This time, I ordered both the curry and the chocolate toast, served with a half-cooked egg, and added my own soy sauce and pepper. It was equally delicious and classic.

Another order came with wonton noodles, to stir-fry noodles. The noodles were refreshing, and most importantly, there was no annoying alkaline taste. The wontons were just pork filling, small fillings, but the skin was thin and tasted normal. The char siu doesn't look like Hong Kong products, but at least it's full of meat flavour. The green chili next to it, sour and slightly spicy, and quite refreshing.

Here are Penang's famous fish head rice noodles, with fried fish head as the main character, a few fish balls, with fine rice flour and rich fish bones boiled soup, the soup with natural freshness, and slightly milky, old mother expressed satisfaction.

Coming to the hot to juice Penang, often I have given up hot coffee and latte, to a cup of cold coffee, or orange water.

If you like the nostalgic atmosphere of the old store but want to avoid the crowds, the new store would be a good choice.
