Fusheng Temple is located in Guangcun, 17 kilometers northwest of Xinjiang County, Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province.
Fusheng Temple was founded during the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty (627-649).
During the Tianhui period of the Jin Dynasty (1138-1140), Fusheng Temple was rebuilt.
In the third year of the Jin Dynasty's Dading reign (1163), it was named Fusheng Temple.
In the 11th year of the Hongzhi reign of the Ming Dynasty (1498), Fusheng Temple was renovated.
The Amitabha Hall of Fusheng Temple is located on a 5-meter-high thick platform and is a Yuan Dynasty building. There are colored sculptures from the Yuan Dynasty in the Amitabha Hall, with Amitabha Buddha in the middle and standing statues of Guanyin and Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva on the left and right respectively.
The colorful hanging sculpture of Guanyin Crossing the Sea from the Yuan Dynasty is known as the most beautiful Guanyin.
