Mengbulak (meaning "many springs" in Kazakh) is an excellent summer pasture in Emin County, Tacheng Prefecture. The Mengbulak Scenic Area is located 50 kilometers southeast of the county seat, in the heart of the Wuerkhaxia Mountains. This natural grassland area is a popular venue for folk entertainment such as Aken singing, wrestling, horse racing, and the pursuit of girls.

Souvenir shops are sparse, but you can find local handicrafts such as Uyghur-style jewelry, scarves, and carpets. Traditional Xinjiang dried fruits and nuts are also popular souvenirs.
The best transportation options are private cars or taxis. From Tacheng, buses and taxis are available for onward travel to other parts of Xinjiang.
