Xishuangbanna Off-the-Beaten-Path City Walk Route, Most Southeast Asian Atmosphere

During a photography trip to Xishuangbanna, I only had two hours of free time, so I walked this lesser-known city walk route and captured photos I really love.

Recommended route: You can bike to "Manting Jiuyue" on Mengle Avenue to photograph Mengle Big Buddha Temple—Central Buddhist Temple—Manting Park—Mengpeng Road.

Photo 2: For shooting location, navigate to "Manting Jiuyue" Marketing Center. This spot requires a telephoto lens. The image was taken with a Tamron 7-180mm and cropped, equivalent to 270mm focal length. Be careful of passing vehicles.
Photos 3, 4, 5: Mengpeng Road, Xishuangbanna's hidden coconut tree paradise. The shooting location is along the section between the Manting Road/Mengpeng Road intersection and the Menglong Road/Mengpeng Road intersection.
Photos 6, 7, 8, 9: Central Buddhist Temple, free admission, near Manting Park. If you're not visiting Manting Park, I recommend entering through the south gate. Please note appropriate dress is required.
Photos 10, 11, 12: Shooting location is the section in front of Huofa Hotel on Menglong Road.

⚠️Travel tips:
1. After the Water Splashing Festival, temperatures in Xishuangbanna rise significantly, so sun protection is essential.
2. Best times for photography are before 11:30 AM and after 4:00 PM.
3. Since all locations are close to each other, shared bikes are highly recommended—cheap and convenient.
