
Riverside Park, located in the southwest of Guiyang's central area, faces South Ring Road in front and the Nanming River in the back, hence its name. The entire park can be roughly divided into three parts according to its entertainment function, namely: children's play area, science exhibition area and quiet rest area. The children's play area is in the northeast part of the park, that is, on the left side of the park gate. There is an Il- 14 small passenger plane parked in the amusement park for children to visit. There are also various electric spaceships and swivel chairs.
The Science and Technology Zone frequently hosts various science and technology exhibitions, providing a venue for science enthusiasts in Guiyang. The main part of the park is the rest area. A cinema stands on the highest hill, facing the Dongfeng Pavilion. There is also a roller skating rink by the river.
The park also boasts a peach orchard, flower beds, and a greenhouse. In spring, peach blossoms burst into life. The flower beds cultivate forsythia, camellias, and chrysanthemums, while the greenhouse features potted roses, asparagus fern, Clivia miniata, tuberose, cycads, and Epiphyllum sempervivum. The park encompasses over 60,000 square meters of flowers, trees, and lawns, with over 660,000 square meters of green space . Chrysanthemum and orchid exhibitions are often held .
