🌟 Highlights: (1) Funiu Mountain World Geopark
- Includes scenic areas such as Xixia Dinosaur Relics Park, Laojieling, and Longtan Valley, and boasts a world-rare dinosaur egg fossil group, known as "Jurassic Park."
- Laojun Mountain (Luanchuan): A sacred place of Taoism, famous for its sea of clouds and golden summit Taoist temple complex. You can ski here in winter.
- Baiyun Mountain (Song County): A national 5A scenic spot, known as a "fairyland on earth," and a summer resort.
(2) Ecology and biodiversity
- Plants: 2,879 species of vascular plants, including 32 species of national key protected plants such as Cercidiphyllum japonicum and Emmenopterys henryi.
- Animals: More than 50 species of national key protected animals such as leopards, musk deer, and giant salamanders, and 213 species of birds.
(3) Ski resort (winter only)
- Funiu Mountain Ski Resort (Luanchuan): The highest ski resort in Henan (1,700–2,100m), ideal for skiing and snow entertainment.
🕙 Opening hours: 8:00–17:30 (some scenic spots such as Laojun Mountain and Baiyun Mountain may be adjusted).
🚉 Transportation: Self-driving: Depart from Zhengzhou/Luoyang and go directly via the Zhengzhou-Luanchuan Expressway (Yaoshan-Luanchuan section).
Public transportation: Luoyang Bus Station has buses to Luanchuan and Song County, and then transfer to scenic spot buses.
