Dali Ancient Town - Xizhou Ancient Town

The blue sky naturally pairs with white clouds, just as dresses naturally pair with indigo dye.

In Xizhou Ancient Town, you can find small indigo dyeing workshops everywhere. Stepping inside feels like walking into the sky itself. The white fabrics paired with shades of blue, neither too dark nor too light, are truly a perfect match.

Whether or not you plan to dye something, you can freely walk into any shop to take a look. Seeing rows upon rows of fabric lined up is quite a spectacular sight!

A little further in, by the roadside, stands a large tree, which served as a filming location for Liu Yifei's drama "Meet Yourself." You can take photos under the tree 📷.

The nearby road is also quite unique. We bought a balloon from a roadside vendor and ended up playing with it for an hour 🤣🤣🤣. In that place, it's so easy to find simple happiness 🎈.

Xizhou Ancient Town also has many restaurants and food stalls where you can taste local delicacies. We tried the floral ice cream, which was cool and refreshing, with sweet flower petals—perfect for a hot sunny day to beat the heat.

The ancient town isn't very large, but if you want to explore it on foot, it takes about 1.5 hours round trip. If you prefer not to walk, there are rickshaw drivers available for a small fee, making it very convenient.
