Every year from mid-November, Wanling Lake Wetland Park in Xuancheng, Anhui, becomes a world of oil paintings.
The bald cypress trees by the lake begin to change color, from green to yellow, golden yellow to deep red, like a palette of nature, with brilliant colors splashed on the blue surface of Wanling Lake. It's so beautiful that you can't tell if it's real or a dream.
The best times to see the bald cypress forest are at dusk and dawn. The warm light of the setting sun at dusk casts a golden filter on the bald cypress trees, making the colors more intense and vivid, and the photos look even better.
In the morning, you must get up early. The morning mist is like a veil, and it's really beautiful.

Tip: We recommend staying at the hotel closest to Wanling Lake for easy access in the morning.
