Xuwen Port, the world's largest passenger and cargo ro-ro terminal

In October 2020, Xuwen Port, the world's largest passenger and cargo roll-on/roll-off terminal built by Guangdong Shipping Group, was officially opened. It is a port that is a comprehensive transportation hub integrating railways, waterways and highways. The first phase of the project has a designed annual throughput capacity of 3.2 million vehicles and 17.28 million passengers, with a total investment of approximately RMB 1.712 billion. The car has an elevator which is very advanced.

Starting from Xuwen Port, the sea voyage between Haikou and Hainan can be shortened by half, and it only takes 1 hour to reach Hainan, while it previously took 2-3 hours. You can book tickets directly through WeChat or purchase them directly at the pier. The frequency is very high, with one basically every half an hour. During the lunch rush hour, there is one at 10 o'clock, so it is very convenient to drive across the sea. The fare for one car + one driver is around RMB 450 🥳🥳
