Shiratani Unsuikyo Gorge

The moss-covered forests of Shiratani Unsuikyo Gorge are said to have inspired the Studio Ghibli films "Princess Mononoke" and "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind."
Our guide brought along a Kodama figurine, which allowed us to take some wonderful photos.
This trek is easier than the Jomon Cedar trek, so it's recommended for those less confident in their physical strength.
The trek takes about three hours, so it's also recommended for those short on time.
